Steffen has over 15 years of professional experience, mainly in private equity and investment banking.

Before joining the private equity team of THI Investments as a Director in 2025, Steffen worked at Triton Partners in Frankfurt, where he focused on investments in the European business services sector. Prior to that, he was with Temasek in London, where he was involved in investments across Europe, with a particular focus on the education, healthcare, and fintech sectors. He began his career in finance in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London, where he gained extensive experience advising on complex transactions.

Over the course of his career, Steffen has been involved in numerous investments in both mid-sized and international companies, supporting entrepreneurs and management teams in implementing local and international growth strategies, executing acquisitions in new geographies, and driving general development initiatives. At THI, he is jointly responsible for the selection, execution, and development of portfolio companies.

Steffen holds a Masters’s degree in Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt and received the Diplôme des Études Supérieures from École Centrale de Lyon.

In his free time, Steffen enjoys spending time with his family and his two young children. He is an avid tennis player and enjoys both winter and water sports.
